LIFE's personalized oncology business
LIFE operates two lines of in silico business, the first of which is based on partnered discovery efforts. Here we afford the biopharmaceutical industry access to our competence in computational discovery for personalized oncology. Our second line of business is built upon internal research efforts, where we seek to build valuable IP surrounding biomarkers of drug response. Together, these synergistically acting business modes permit a flexible partnership model, which includes fee-for-service, strategic alliances, research & development collaborations and out-licensing opportunities.

Partnered discovery – collaboratively improving response.
LIFE has developed a unique computational infrastructure, specifically geared at analyzing and redressing the molecular basis of non-response in cancer patients. Such competence is applicable at many levels of the drug development value chain, from choosing the right target indication for new drug candidates, to choosing the correct molecular backgrounds of patient cohorts for clinical trials, to defining novel drug combinations for specific indications and patient sub-groups. These competencies are offered to partners on a fee-for-service and/or collaborative discovery basis.
Internal Discovery - Novel theranostic biomarkers & treatment strategies.
LIFE pursues it own internal discovery projects aimed at building a novel portfolio of intellectual property surrounding theranostic biomarkers. In addition, LIFE is also exploring the use of novel biomarker signatures, such as serum-based microRNA's, for the prediction of patient response to therapy. Such studies are greatly facilitated through our strong collaborations with world class cancer centers and leading clinical oncology researchers.
